Oz the Great and Powerful (2013)

This origin story of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz begins in Kansas at the turn of the 20th century. Small-bit magician Oscar Diggs charms women and cons audiences with his sleight-of-hand and turn of phrase. Disaster strikes when a tornado rips him away from Kansas and deposits him safely in the land of Oz. There, he tries to imagine a new life for himself, but he quickly realizes his fake magic can't stand up to the real deal. Will this huckster find his destiny as the Wizard of Oz or remain a no-good circus freak?
