Cemetery Junction (2010)

In the heart of 1973's Cemetery Junction, a humble suburb of Reading, three working-class comrades, bound by the threads of friendship, stand on the precipice of adulthood. Freddie, yearning for a life beyond his humble roots, steps into the world of life insurance sales, donning a suit and tie as his armor against mediocrity. Meanwhile, Snork, a railway station worker, harbors dreams of finding love someday. Bruce, on the other hand, flirts with the idea of escape but seems destined for a life mirroring his father's - a factory job, beer in hand, and an ever-present television screen. His rebellious streak repeatedly attracts the attention of an irked police officer, who regularly bails him out of trouble. A twist of fate sees Freddie crossing paths with Julie, a childhood friend who now happens to be his boss's daughter and the fiancée of the firm's star salesman. This reunion sets off a chain of subtle transformations among the trio. The question remains - can these lads defy their predetermined paths and truly break free from Cemetery Junction?
