In the enigmatic epoch of the Stone Age, Caveman unfolds a tale of desire, kinship, and survival. Our protagonist, the outcast Atouk, is a strong-willed caveman living in the shadows of the domineering Tonda, the leader of an aggressive tribe. Haunted by an unrequited love for Tonda's captivating mate, Lana, Atouk's seemingly ordinary life soon takes an unexpected turn. While wandering in the wilderness with his loyal companion, Lar, portrayed by the charismatic Dennis Quaid, they encounter the enchanting cavewoman Tala. In a heroic act of bravery, they rescue her blind father Gog from the clutches of a treacherous tar pit, igniting an unreciprocated affection in Tala for Atouk. As the narrative unfolds, Atouk's intellect and courage helps him ascend to the leadership of a tribe like no other. This eccentric tribe, comprised of outcasts scorned by their respective clans, includes intriguing characters such as a blind man, a gay couple, a dwarf, and a collection of other unique misfits. This motley crew of outsiders rally behind Atouk, challenging the status quo, and daring to dispute the leadership of the whole clan with the formidable Tonda. However, beneath the power struggle and tribal conflicts, Atouk's heart still yearns for the stunning Lana. Amidst the chaos, he learns that leadership is as much about strength as it is about choosing a worthy companion.
