Plot

In this darkly humorous and finely crafted tale of rivalry and revenge, we meet Veronica (Sandra Oh), a superficially privileged housewife grappling with domesticity, and Ashley (Anne Heche), an egocentric artist wrestling with her career and life partner Lisa's (Alicia Silverstone) desire to start a family. When Veronica and Ashley cross paths at a party thrown by Veronica's husband, their deeply buried animosity reemerges, culminating in a ferocious brawl that lands Veronica in a coma. Two years later, Veronica awakens to a nightmarish reality. She is left penniless and friendless, her husband and teenage son tragically deceased. Meanwhile, Ashley's star has ascended - she is now a successful, wealthy artist, happily married to Lisa. Blaming Ashley for her life's ruin, Veronica instigates another brutal encounter, this time leaving Ashley comatose in an abandoned lot. Emerging from her two-year coma, Ashley discovers her world has dramatically shifted for the worse. Consumed by the desire for retribution, she embarks on a relentless pursuit to track down Veronica and settle their bitter feud once and for all. Will the vicious cycle of Veronica and Ashley's personal vendetta ever reach its finale? "Catfight" (2017) unravels this tale of two women locked in an endless battle, their lives forever changed by their shared past.
