Cash (2007)

In the year 1836, within the dusty heart of British India, an impoverished man stumbles upon a radiant 200-carat diamond, a sparkling miracle of nature buried in the depths of the Deccan. He gifts the diamond to his King who, in turn, presents it to the British Viceroy. The prized jewel is then dispatched to England, only to disappear beneath the waves when the ship succumbs to a violent storm. The diamond, however, refuses to be forgotten. In 1994, it resurfaces in Belgium where it is split into three shimmering fragments. Two are stolen, disappearing into the shadowy world of crime, while the third finds a home with a wealthy Gujarati man residing in Cape Town. Upon his death, his son inherits the precious fragment, alerting Shania, the Security Officer of the Indian High Commission, of its existence. Unbeknownst to Shania, her boyfriend Karan eavesdrops on the conversation. His eyes gleaming with greed, Karan enlists three cunning burglars - Dhananjay, Lucky, and Pooja - to steal the diamond. Their plot thickens with the entrance of two more international thieves, Angad and Aditi. Unaware of the dangerous game unfolding, Shania attempts to ensnare the thieves with marked currency, unknowingly igniting a sequence of events that spirals out of control. Suddenly, the hunt for the diamond morphs into a merciless game of survival. Betrayals surface, painting a trail of cold-blooded murder and brutal double-crossing. The once dazzling diamond becomes a symbol of treachery, with everyone fighting not just for its possession, but for their very lives. In this deadly contest, the rules are harsh and unforgiving - the victor claims everything, and the loser loses all, including his life. As the game escalates, everyone is poised on the knife-edge of danger, with no one to blame but themselves, ready to pay the ultimate price in their pursuit of the diamond.
