Captain Sindbad (1963)

In the tranquil realm of Baristan, tyranny reigns under the iron fist of the malicious El-Carim. With his heart set on ensnaring his adversary, Captain Sindbad, who is sailing home to marry the beautiful Princess Jana, El-Carim lays a deadly trap. The quick-witted princess, however, convinces the sorcerer Galgo to transform her into a petite bird, enabling her to warn Sindbad of the impending danger. Her flight is cut short when El-Carim's guards, morphed into colossal falcon-like beings, unleash a barrage of rocks on Sindbad's ship, causing it to sink. Sindbad and a handful of his crew survive, washing up on the shore of El-Carim's kingdom. Galgo attempts to steal El-Carim's magic ring by extending his arm to an extraordinary length but is caught and severely burnt by the vigilant king. Sindbad is arrested, and despite the guise of a mere thief, El-Carim recognizes him and orders his execution. Yet, Sindbad manages to escape after a daring duel with "The Thing," a terrifying invisible monster in the public arena. Aided by Galgo, Sindbad learns the secret of El-Carim's invulnerability - his heart, extracted and safeguarded in a remote bell tower, shielded by supernatural power. As El-Carim pressures Princess Jana into marrying him, Sindbad and his men undertake a perilous journey, braving carnivorous plants, monstrous creatures, seething lava pits, and treacherous whirlpools to reach the tower housing El-Carim's heart. Upon reaching the tower, Sindbad confronts a monstrous hand guarding the crystal-encased heart. He successfully dislodges the heart, inducing a heart attack in El-Carim. A climactic swordfight ensues as Sindbad is on the brink of destroying the heart, with Galgo seizing the opportunity to hurl the heart from the tower, causing El-Carim to plummet to his doom. The kingdom of Baristan erupts in joy as Sindbad and Princess Jana finally unite in matrimony, marking the end of El-Carim's reign and the dawn of a peaceful era.
