Plot

In the tumultuous era of the 1910s, China's landscape was a turbulent chessboard of warring factions. Amidst this chaos, the most ruthless was Cao Ying, whose army carved a path of terror and devastation, leaving behind a wasteland that once teemed with life. Cao's reign of terror extends through his merciless son, Cao Shaolun, who brings his father's brand of cold-blooded tyranny to the remote village of Pucheng. Pucheng, an idyllic rural haven, finds itself under the shadow of impending doom when its military is dispatched to the front line, leaving the village exposed to Cao's malevolence. With a chilling indifference to life, Shaolun indulges in a gruesome spree of violence, slaughtering the innocent and orphaned. But Pucheng is not defenseless. Its guardians, led by the steadfast commander Yang Kenan, capture Shaolun, intending to bring him to justice. News of Shaolun's arrest reaches Zhang Yi, a colonel loyal to the brutal warlord Cao Ying. Determined to free Shaolun, Zhang descends upon Pucheng, only to cross paths with Ma Feng, a formidable martial arts expert who shares a past with Zhang. Witnessing Shaolun's atrocities, Ma Feng's sense of justice ignites. He refuses to side with Zhang, instead vowing to aid Yang in keeping Shaolun imprisoned. Despite Zhang's efforts, he fails to liberate Shaolun, prompting Cao's formidable army to invade Pucheng, resulting in catastrophic bloodshed. As the village plunges into a desperate struggle for survival, its brave guardians rise to the occasion, vowing to protect their homeland. "Call of Heroes" is a stirring tale of courage and resilience, portraying the epic battle between the forces of tyranny and the indomitable spirit of the human will.
