In the tumultuous era of the 1910s, China's landscape was a turbulent chessboard of warring factions. Amidst this chaos, the most ruthless was Cao Ying, whose army carved a path of terror and devastation, leaving behind a wasteland that once teemed with life. Cao's reign of terror extends through his merciless son, Cao Shaolun, who brings his father's brand of cold-blooded tyranny to the remote village of Pucheng. Pucheng, an idyllic rural haven, finds itself under the shadow of impending doom when its military is dispatched to the front line, leaving the village exposed to Cao's malevolence.
