Plot
Set against the dazzling backdrop of Los Angeles, David Collins, a small graphics company entrepreneur, finds himself at a crossroads in his five-year relationship with Sarah, a dynamic marketing executive in the fashion industry. When David's New York-based fraternity brother, Tyler, a once committed bachelor, announces his engagement, declaring he found "the one," David is plunged into a sea of self-doubt. He begins to question whether Sarah truly is his destined partner or if "the one" is still elusively out there.
As Sarah departs for a two-month business trip to New York, she leaves David with an ultimatum that could redefine their future: commit to marriage or part ways, a decision she had always assumed would naturally lean towards matrimony. The crisis is further fueled by an adolescent memory - the haunting image of a girl David perceived as his soulmate at eighteen, an encounter that remained an unfulfilled promise.
Helping, yet unintentionally hindering David in his emotional quandary, are his two closest friends - Mike, the charming womanizer set to be Tyler's best man, and Jonesy, the judgmental one yet to have a serious relationship. David's college girlfriend, Amy, reappears, potentially shedding light on his predicament, but two unforeseen circumstances further complicate matters.
Sarah finds herself the recipient of a proposition from her suave, affluent New York boss, Andrew Hahn, adding another layer of complexity to their relationship. Concurrently, David's life takes a cinematic twist when he spots a woman in a restaurant, a vision so captivating he believes she could be "the one." But before he can discover more about her, she vanishes, leaving David in a thrilling chase for love. As David navigates the dating scene and the labyrinth of his emotions, he embarks on a quest to find his soulmate, all the while racing against the ticking clock of Sarah's ultimatum.
