Plot

François Durrieux, a man in the prime of his forties, savors a life marked by the sweet symphony of domestic happiness: a loving wife Clémence, an adored son Benjamin, a fulfilling job at the acclaimed firm DSBO, and a circle of steadfast friends. Despite the demanding nature of his work, often encroaching upon his personal life and holiday plans, François remains a dedicated and obedient employee, a gear faithfully turning in the corporate machine. However, the tranquil rhythm of his life shatters when an unforeseen tragedy strikes. The shocking suicide of his closest friend and colleague, Simon Lacaze, in the wake of an ignominious dismissal, sends ripples of revolt through François' complacent existence. The once content employee finds himself on shaky ground, his unwavering loyalty to the firm now tainted with a bitter taste of betrayal. Struggling with the torment of his friend's untimely demise, François begins to question the principles he had held dear, the very foundations of his mundane yet comfortable life. The corporate puppet strings that once controlled him feel strangulating, turning his once satisfying existence into a realm of intolerable suffering. In this tale of personal upheaval, Burnt Out dares to ask: Will François, now disheartened and disillusioned, unearth the courage to break free from his corporate chains? Will he refuse to accept the suffering that his life has become, daring to redefine happiness on his own terms? The answer lies in the flickering embers of his burnt-out existence.
