In the verdant hills of Meghalaya, an escalating conflict between Gogai, a predatory superior, and Kalyani, his subordinate, spirals out of control when her husband, Khogiram Maheshwar Gwala, gallantly steps in. The ensuing scuffle triggers their abrupt dismissal, leaving Khogiram grappling with unemployment, while Kalyani's meager earnings from basket weaving barely keep them afloat.
