As the eerie aura of Halloween 1997 wraps itself around the last night of high school for Corey, Jango, and their band of skaters, The Gromits, the precipice between adolescence and adulthood looms ominously. For Corey, however, the past's spectral tendrils refuse to release their grip. A chance encounter with Jonah, his forgotten childhood ally now tormented by Jango's reign of terror, stirs a sense of compassion within Corey who elects to accompany Jonah home, a gesture of nostalgic camaraderie. Commencing as a mere saunter down memory lane through the ghostly quiet suburban backstreets, their journey spirals into an unexpected odyssey infused with elements of darkness and magic.
