In the hectic whirl of O'Hare Airport on a snow-blanketed Christmas Eve, lives of strangers intertwine. Among them, we find Buddy Amaral, a successful Los Angeles ad man, and Greg Janello, a struggling writer desperately trying to return home to his family in Los Angeles. As fate would have it, Buddy's newly acquired client happens to be Infinity Airlines, the very airline he and Greg are delayed on. In an act of seemingly benign generosity, Buddy hands his ticket to Greg, hoping to help the beleaguered writer return home to his wife Abby, and their two young sons, Scott and Joey. Tragically, the flight crashes, leaving no survivors and sending shockwaves through the lives left behind. Consumed by guilt, Buddy's life spirals into a vortex of alcohol and self-loathing, the weight of his unforeseen complicity in Greg's death unbearable.
