In the heart of a penitentiary riddled with deranged prisoners, a woman of strength and fragility, Dr. Lila Colleti, works as a psychiatrist. Haunted by a shadowy childhood trauma and embroiled in a bitter divorce, her world is on the brink of collapse. When her husband, Paul Colleti, snatches custody of their two daughters from her grasp, Lila plunges into a vortex of depression and despair.
