Plot

In the mundane world of television sales, Nick finds himself jobless and impulsively hatches a plan to move to Butte, MT, the so-called "city of the future" he once read about. His girlfriend, Beth, is brought into this whimsical venture, left in the dark until the last minute is Nick's ex and Beth's confidante, Carol. Meanwhile, Sid, a painter commissioned to prepare their home for the next tenants, stumbles into their lives. A simple man, content with his life in Enfield and uninterested in the wanderlust Nick possesses, Sid is drawn to the unsuspecting Beth, and they, along with Carol, find escape in a haze of shared companionship. When Nick's departure becomes imminent, Sid reveals his feelings for Beth, pleading with her to stay. Simultaneously, Nick embarks on a solitary journey, leading him back to his childhood home. He finds himself standing on the precipice of self-discovery, leading him to realize where his true affections lie. As Nick returns, yearning for Carol, Beth finds herself seeking comfort in Sid's arms. 'Bodies, Rest & Motion' is a compelling tale of love, longing, and self-realisation, set against the backdrop of an impending move that shakes up the lives of four interconnected individuals.
