Plot

Riding on the thrill of speed and the roar of engines, Beverly Blake, known as the 'Blonde Comet,' emerges as a force to be reckoned with on the international racing scene. The prodigious daughter of a tire magnate, Beverly leaves a trail of dust on the tracks of Italy, France, and Germany, her victories echoing in the grandstands long before the shadows of war darken these nations. Beverly's journey brings her back to her homeland where she meets Jim Flynn, a fellow race-driver. What ignites on the racetrack is a rivalry as fiery as their engines, and a romance as unexpected as a rain-soaked circuit. Racing towards the climax, Beverly sacrifices her chance to clinch THE BIG RACE, allowing Jim to take the wheel of her car. His victory is not only a personal triumph but also serves as a testament to his ground-breaking racing-car carburetor, and the superior tires produced by Beverly's father. While this might appear a dent in the armor of women's liberation, the tale of the 'Blonde Comet' is an exhilarating ride through the testosterone-fueled world of car racing, with a woman at its heart, driving the narrative at breakneck speed.
