Manji was a samurai skilled at the act of killing, and his rage and arrogance led him to slaughter a hundred men, including his brother-in-law. It's an act for which he was cursed to immortal life, but his sister's death convinces him to try and seek out a cure to his eternal life. He may see it as a curse, but his immortality gives him a critical advantage in the field of battle. It's a talent that he'll need for his latest task. He's been asked by a child to help her get revenge for the death of her father.
