In the chill of December 1942, a pair of young soldiers stationed at check-point 83 in the frost-bitten reaches of Northern Värmland, Sweden, break rank. Lured by the mystery and the menace of an unseen enemy, they journey into the frigid night towards the border of Nazi-encroached Norway. Sweden teeters on the razor's edge of invasion, and the soldiers seek a glimpse of the adversary that's become the talk of their homeland. Yet, their daring escapade spirals into catastrophe, and come dawn, Lieutenant Aron Stenström is confronted with the harrowing news that his brother Sven is among the missing soldiers.
With daunting odds stacked against him, Aron is thrust into an clandestine mission to retrieve his lost sibling from behind the enemy lines. As he plunges deeper into the shadow-draped Norwegian forest, he comes to a chilling realization. To ensure their survival, they must cross a line far more formidable and profound than the physical borders of nations.
