Plot

In the heart of the 1950s, the allure of an enticing business venture draws American thrill-seeker, Matt Campbell, to Kenya's untamed landscapes, following a call from his brother George. As Matt settles into his new surroundings, he soon finds himself receiving unexpected news from Ralph Hoyt, a local missionary. His brother George has fallen victim to the ominous Leopard Men, a fanatical cult hell-bent on wiping out the white man's presence in Africa. Intertwined with this revelation, Matt encounters Ann Wilson, the charming niece of the missionary and an anthropologist, along with George's business partner, the seasoned big game hunter, Gil Rossi. The enigmatic Rossi unveils a tale of a hidden mine beyond Mombasa's bustling streets, a joint venture between him, George, and a man named Elliott Hastings. This isn't just any mine; it supposedly harbors something far more valuable than gold. However, the missionary, Ralph Hoyt, cautions Matt, casting doubt on the mine's worth and urging him to steer clear of its potential dangers. Despite these warnings, Matt finds himself drawn into the mystery of his brother's untimely demise and the enigma of the mine. A funeral for George looms, and the journey into the wild bush country, where George's life was cruelly snatched away by the Leopard Men, awaits. In the midst of the Mau Mau uprising of the Kikuyu tribes, the volatile backdrop of Kenya raises questions for Matt. Who truly murdered George? What lies hidden within the depths of the elusive mine? With uncertainty shadowing his every step, Matt's quest for answers promises a thrilling adventure in the untamed wilderness beyond Mombasa.
