Plot

In the quaint harbor town of Bait, Martin Ward, a cove fisherman, finds himself adrift, separated from his vessel and his roots. His brother Steven, in a bid to cater to the influx of tourists, has converted their father's cherished fishing boat into a tourist tripper. This act drives a deep wedge between the brothers, sparking a tale of tradition against transformation. Their childhood home, once echoing with the tales of the sea, is now a stylish retreat for affluent Londoners, pushing Martin up to an estate that overlooks the idyllic harbor. This displacement fuels his determination to reclaim the family's traditional place in the community, creating a ripple effect that stirs conflict with both the tourists and the locals. As Martin embarks on this tumultuous journey, a heart-wrenching tragedy strikes at the core of his family, flipping his world upside down. Bait is a compelling and emotionally-charged exploration of a man's struggle to navigate the tides of change while striving to uphold his family's legacy amidst a rapidly evolving landscape.
