Plot
In the eerie solitude of her office, under the cloak of an 11 p.m. Friday night, we find Carla, a woman navigating the complexities of her forties. The silence is broken by a phone call; it's Raúl, the young man who's been her cocaine conduit for years. Their relationship, until now, has been defined by fleeting exchanges, never more than two sentences at a time - a dance of words as brief and potent as the substance he supplies.
Tonight, however, the rhythm changes. Raúl is on the brink of a life-altering decision, ready to shed his skin as a dealer. A future beyond the darkened streets beckons him - a fresh start in the sun-baked landscapes of Australia, trading his illicit career for the simplicity of a gardener's life. Little do they know, this night that began with a routine call will mark the end of an era for both Carla and Raúl, forever altering the trajectory of their lives. Their story is a poignant exploration of change, choices, and the courage to seek a new path, all set against the backdrop of a world that thrives under the cover of darkness.
