Dr. Frederick Munson's life spirals into chaos after his sister's demise, leading to his removal from the position of co-director at the renowned Cowan Research Center in Pasadena. His place usurped by his brother-in-law, the enigmatic Dr. Edmund Redding, Munson is left reeling. But through Redding's son, Timmy, Munson stumbles upon a clandestine project involving hypnosis and past life regression, a discovery he hastens to share with his confidant, Dr. John Janney. Meanwhile, an intriguing tale unfolds as Munson narrates to a journalist friend. Through hypnotic regression, Redding unravels the mystery of Ann Taylor, a woman bearing the reincarnated soul of an ancient Aztec. Guided by her unearthed memories, Redding discovers concealed chambers within the majestic Great Pyramid of Yucatan, harboring a treasure trove from the forgotten Aztec civilization. This treasure, however, is patrolled by a living mummy. A terrifying encounter sees Redding lose his life, but not before his assistants manage to capture the mummy and transport it back to Pasadena. As Munson orchestrates a plot to reclaim the Cowan Institute, Janney contrives to purloin the mummy and its secrets. A professional thief is enlisted to locate the mummy, but it eludes him, setting its sights on an unsuspecting Ann Taylor's home, escalating the tension to a fever pitch...
