In the shadowy outskirts of a swamp-brimmed hamlet, an unassuming local spots a pair of gargantuan creatures, only to be met with dismissive disbelief by his fellow townsfolk. The plot thickens when Dave Walker, a man beleaguered by betrayal, discovers his unfaithful wife Liz in a clandestine tryst with his confidant, Cal Moulton. In a rage-filled pursuit, he chases the adulterous pair through the eerie swamp, ultimately driving them into the murky depths where the monstrous leeches lurk. Shaken to his core, Dave is apprehended, wrongfully accused of a double homicide. Meanwhile, two opportunistic locals, lured by a tempting reward of fifty dollars per corpse, embark on a daring quest into the swamp to recover Liz and Cal's bodies. Their journey, however, leads them to an equally chilling fate. In a desperate bid to unravel the mystery, game warden Steve Benton gathers a brave patrol. Together, they delve into the unseen dangers of the swamp's subterranean caves, where they come face-to-face with the horrifying reality: the swamp is home to lethal, oversized leeches, which have turned this quaint community into their hunting ground.
