Plot

In the heart of Detroit, a story unfolds about a young boy, Nathan (Ethan Bortnick), who's world is thrown into chaos when his mother, Army lieutenant Margaret Peters (Lacy Chabert), goes missing during a daring tsunami rescue mission in Japan. As the waves of uncertainty crash around him, his life takes another twist when he discovers that his father, George (Jonathan Bennett), shares no biological ties with him. Fearful of being taken away by Child Care Services, Nathan embarks on a courageous, solo journey through the gritty streets of Detroit. While on the run, he encounters Captain Miles, a homeless veteran of the Iraqi war, who takes Nathan under his wing. This unlikely pair finds refuge in the palatial home of Evelyn Strasser, a wealthy philanthropist with a hidden surprise. Her young daughter, Jessee, has been aiding Nathan, providing him shelter in the basement of their grand home. When Evelyn stumbles upon this secret, she also uncovers Nathan's extraordinary talent as a pianist. As Nathan's life intertwines with these diverse characters, his unique ability to vividly remember his dreams begins to surface. These aren't mere dreams, but powerful memories that he can't quite comprehend. His stepdad becomes an unexpected ally, guiding him towards the realization that these dreams might hold the key to finding his missing mother. As the threat of the local orphanage closing looms, Nathan, Jessee, and the orphanage children launch a city-wide campaign to save their sanctuary. Harnessing his musical prowess, Nathan headlines a concert that captivates the city, raising the vital funds to keep the orphanage doors open. However, amidst the triumph, a void remains in Nathan's life - his mother. Where is Maggie? In this heartfelt narrative, the film explores themes of resilience, the complexity of family relationships, and the power of dreams. With a captivating soundtrack co-written by Ethan Bortnick and Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer, Gary Baker, "Anything is Possible" is a poignant journey of discovery and the unyielding bonds of family.
