Angels in the Endzone (1997)

In the heart of a small, closely-knit town, the local high school football team is trapped in a relentless cycle of defeat, with Jesse Harper, their only gifted player, at the helm. However, when an unexpected tragedy claims his father's life, Jesse relinquishes his position on the team, severing the only lifeline the team had to victory. His younger brother, Kevin, watches with a heavy heart as Jesse abandons the game that once brought him so much joy. One night, driven by compassion for his brother and the desperate plight of the team, Kevin sends out a heartfelt prayer into the vast night sky. His plea for help resonates with a band of sports-enthused angels, led by Al, the angel that has returned to touch mortal lives once again.
