In the quaint landscape of a small town, high school sweethearts Michael Foster and Grace Holland, now Anderson, found their paths diverging after choosing different careers. Their respective marriages, made in haste, crumbled within years. However, Grace is blessed with an impeccable son, Scott Holland, who discerns that Grace's current beau, the affable accountant Philip Walsh, lacks the spark of romance.
As destiny would have it, just before their high school reunion, Michael's employer dispatches him alongside his colleague and friend James Mitchell to oversee the decoration of their latest hotel venture. The twist in the tale? The decor is managed by Grace's firm. As the story unfurls, James finds himself drawn towards Lindsay Taylor, Grace's assistant and confidante.
Despite the undeniable attraction between the old lovers, they resist acknowledging their feelings. They find unexpected allies in Michael's in-laws, Scott, and their assistants who, despite Grace's mother's attempts to orchestrate a union with Philip, conspire to reignite the flame of their past love. Meanwhile, the ever-gentlemanly Philip, acknowledges the power of true love and prepares to step aside gracefully, setting the stage for a nostalgic reunion of hearts.
