Plot
In the arid expanse of the desert, 34-year-old Goyo, a one-time champion of open water swimming, seeks refuge. Shattered by false doping accusations in the Santa Fe-Coronda Marathon, a grueling 57-kilometer river swim, he abandons not only his career but his dreams. Eight years of solitude later, he is drawn back to Santa Fe as the marathon resurfaces, providing a shot at vindication and a chance to reclaim his tarnished title.
Yet, the return is not without its ghosts. Buried emotions resurface, threatening to capsize his resolve. Amid this turmoil, he crosses paths with Chino, a fiercely disciplined pool swimmer, whose dreams of making the national team shatter on the rocks of failure. Spotting a kindred spirit in Chino, Goyo taps into an unexpected alliance, asking Chino to navigate the support boat during the marathon. As Goyo dives back into the very waters that witnessed his downfall, the duo embark on a quest to redeem their dreams and wash away the stains of their past.
