Besieged by despair after losing her job, Jane, an erudite librarian contemplates the end of her life. But before she succumbs to her darkest thoughts, she embarks on one last splendid journey to the sun-drenched lands of Costa Rica. Upon arrival, she crosses paths with Juan, a spirited tour guide brimming with life's vibrancy. Captivated by Jane's reserved intellect, Juan undertakes the mission to thaw her frozen heart, introducing her to the infectious Costa Rican mantra, "Pura Vida" - the pure life, a celebration of existence itself. Through their unusual and blossoming romance, they inspire each other to grow. Jane kindles in Juan a love for the written word, guiding him through his maiden voyage into the world of literature. Meanwhile, Juan teaches Jane to cast off her rigidity, inviting her to dance in the symphony of spontaneity and joy, something she hasn't done in far too long.
