Plot

In the chilling aftermath of a tragic climbing accident at Suicide Rock, Rogers, a man bound to a wheelchair, returns to the secluded wilderness of Flatwoods. His wife's death still haunting him, he is under the care of Otis Wilhelm as directed by Dr. Rainer. Their refuge is a rustic cottage, a place where the whispers of the forest are their only company. One eerie night, Preston, Rogers' companion, catches sight of monstrous red eyes peering from the depths of the forest. His warnings fall on deaf ears, as Otis dismisses them as mere hallucinations born from paranoia. The mystery amplifies when their beautiful blonde neighbor, Karen Herdberger, inexplicably disappears into the same foreboding woods. An attempt to warn her friends only earns him their scorn, his concern misconstrued as perversion. Stranded without phone lines, Preston resorts to satellite Internet to reach out to the authorities. His pleas, however, are met with skepticism, his desperate warnings lost in the void of disbelief. Simultaneously, a group of local hunters led by Ziegler Dane and Billy Hoss are on a mission to hunt down a vicious creature that has been slaughtering cattle on Hoss's farm. The plot thickens when Ziegler stumbles upon a wounded Karen in the heart of a shadowy cave. It becomes glaringly clear that they are all on the hunting ground of a mythical beast, a creature whispered in hushed tones as Yeti, Sasquatch, and the dreaded Bigfoot. The tables have turned, the hunter is now the hunted. Rogers and company must now convince the world of the lurking threat before the legendary beast embarks on a bloody rampage. "Abominable" is a spine-chilling tale that explores what happens when myth and reality collide in the most terrifying way.
