Aalorukkam (2018)

Aalorukkam is a poignant tale of an aging father, Pappu Pisharadi, who embarks on an unyielding quest to find his son, lost to him 16 years ago. Pisharadi's journey is fueled by a singular yearning - to behold his prodigal son just once more. His relentless pursuit takes him through days of wandering, until one fateful day, he collapses by the roadside, his strength yielding to the weight of his mission. Rescued and brought to a Charity Hospital, his story moves the compassionate Dr. Seetha and her friend Priyan. Stirred by his plight, they pledge to reunite Pisharadi with his long-lost son. Their search leads them to an IT firm, where they find the missing piece of Pisharadi's life puzzle. Reunited, Pisharadi is brought to his son's flat, yet the joy of reunion is overshadowed by his reticence. He retreats into a shell, almost a stranger in his son's world - a world that now includes a partner and an adopted child. Together, they strive to reawaken Pisharadi, to bring him back into the rhythm of life. The story culminates with Pisharadi's return to his village, escorting by a distant relative. But the journey is marred by his mounting stress, leaving questions about his future hanging in the air.
