Vikramadithyan (2014)

In a swirl of love, deceit, and justice, "Vikramadithyan" unveils the intertwined lives of two men and a woman born under contrasting circumstances. The story unfolds with Vasudeva Shenoy, a diligent police constable, expressing his love for Lakshmi, his colleague. His proposal, however, is met with firm disapproval from his mother. Amid this conflict, enters Kunjunni Menon, a crafty thief masquerading as a police inspector, who beguiles Lakshmi into marriage. When Lakshmi discovers the truth, she finds herself enmeshed in a facade of a happy marriage, giving birth to their son Adithyan. On the same day, Vikraman is born to Shenoy and his new wife, adding another layer to this complex tapestry. As the narrative progresses, we witness the lives of Adithyan, Vikraman, and their schoolmate Deepika Pai, intertwining further into adulthood. Despite a tumultuous childhood, Adithyan matures into an astute individual, winning Deepika's heart along the way. In an unexpected twist, a fierce competition ensues between Adithyan and Vikraman for the coveted position of Sub-Inspector. When Shenoy cunningly implicates Adithyan in a crime he didn't commit, the SI selection slips out of his reach. This grave injustice prompts Adithyan to flee, only to return years later with a powerful ally, Lokesh IAS. Adithyan ascends to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police, marking his triumphant return to Kochi, Kerala. As the plot culminates, Vikraman assumes the role of a Sub-Inspector while Deepika reunites with Adithyan. The film concludes with a powerful portrayal of Adithyan and his family, standing tall against the society that once derided him as a "thief's son", serving as a testament to resilience and redemption.
