Plot

In the bleak tapestry of Cardiff's run-down council flats, 17-year-old Leigh-Anne Williams grapples with the trials of early motherhood. Along with her infant daughter, Rebecca, and the questionable support of three teenage squatters, she navigates a world steeped in insecurity and hardship. These squatters, Steven, Gavin, and Robbie, peddle stolen goods to scrape together a meagre existence, further deepening their struggle for survival. Leigh-Anne's life is clouded by a paranoia that gnaws at her sanity, fuelled by her conviction that her neighbour, Osman, a man of Turkish descent, is plotting with Social Services to take her precious Rebecca away from her. As her delusions intensify, she escalates her desperation into action. She convinces her trio of companions that Osman warrants a 'lesson', oblivious to the gravity of this dangerous path. A Way of Life paints a grim portrait of a young mother's battle with her inner demons and the harsh reality of her environment. It's a chilling tale that explores the lengths one might go to protect what they hold dearest, even when blinded by fear and misguided perceptions. Unaware of the looming consequences, Leigh-Anne steps into a perilous game, one that threatens to shatter her already fragile world.
