Plot

As the summer of 1969 unfurls, the world is held captive by moon landings and the magnetic pull of Woodstock. Nestled nearby, the Kantrowitz family seeks refuge within their habitual cabin retreat, a microcosm of Jewish life. Marty, a stalwart TV repairman from Brooklyn, joins his family during weekends, leaving his wife Pearl and their two children, Alison and their younger son, to navigate the weekdays. As the season progresses, Pearl, a youthful mother of two, grapples with the gnawing unrest of a youth lost to early pregnancy. Concurrently, Alison embarks on her own journey of firsts; her first date, first kiss and the hushed thrill of sneaking off to Woodstock with a handsome lifeguard. Amidst this whirlwind of discovery, Pearl finds herself magnetically drawn to a charismatic peddler known as "the blouse man" who frequents the camp, igniting her dormant desires. Their shared journey to Woodstock ushers in a new chapter of Pearl's life. As the fallout of this affair reaches Marty, he is forced to confront Pearl and together they must navigate the uncertain waters of what lies ahead. Their decisions will ultimately shape the future of the Kantrowitz family.
