Plot

In the heart-wrenching narrative of A Sun, viewers are plunged into the turbulent sea of a family in crisis. The story orbits around two sons, who, like the sun and the moon, couldn't be more starkly contrasted. A-Hao, the older, embodies the quiet promise of a bright future, his introverted disposition largely consumed by his quest to secure a place in medical school. His younger brother, A-Ho, however, is a storm of wayward energy, constantly on the fringe of trouble, pushing the family's hopes and patience to the limit. When A-Ho lands himself in juvenile detention for a crime he was swept into by his best friend, the family's foundation begins to crumble. A-Wen, their father, frustrated and disappointed, turns his back on A-Ho, urging the judge to show no leniency, while his mother, Qin, is left to deal with the fallout. The situation takes a turn for the worse when a pregnant teenage girl arrives at their doorstep, determined to bear A-Ho's child despite his incarceration and obliviousness to her predicament. A Sun is a poignant exploration of family dynamics, unfulfilled expectations, and the desperate search for redemption amidst a landscape of shattered dreams. It's a tale that shines a light on the stark contrasts in human nature, the resilience of familial bonds, and the heartbreaking search for a brighter tomorrow.
