A Room to Die For (2017)

In the bustling heart of London, Mark Crowe, an ambitious yet penniless stand-up comedian, finds solace in the financial support of his hardworking girlfriend, Jill Scott, who serves at a local call center. Their lives take an eerie turn when they stumble upon an affordable room in the secluded residence of the elderly couple, Henry and Josephine Baker. Mark, seeking solitude to pen his jokes, finds himself constantly disrupted by the unexpected sounds of a baby or the intrusive presence of Henry. As tension simmers between Mark and Henry, Jill pacifies her boyfriend, persuading him to endure their peculiar living conditions. Jill's haughty brother, Jason Scott, extends a job offer to Mark, which he perceives as an insult. Curiosity gets the better of Mark as he probes the shadows of the Baker household, uncovering a chilling secret that spirals their lives into a whirlpool of tragic events.
