A Midnight Kiss (2018)

In the quaint coastal town of Seaford, Washington, the Pearson family stands united behind their homegrown party planning company. Founding couple Gary and Barb, along with their adult children Jake and Mia, have been the life of every party, with Jake envisioning a grand future for the firm while Mia, compelled by family duty, has shelved her own dreams for the business. As the Christmas party season wraps up and Gary and Barb prepare for a well-deserved retirement escape to Palm Springs, Jake and Mia decide to take a break before taking the reins of the company. However, on December 23rd, they receive a request they can’t refuse. Kate Clark, the town's most influential businesswoman, entrusts them with her New Year's Eve celebration. With Jake’s pregnant wife Lori unable to assist, and despite being short-staffed, they accept, knowing the success of this event could catapult their company into a new realm of opportunities. Unexpectedly, Jake suffers a temporary setback, leaving Mia to shoulder the responsibility alone. In a twist of fate, they rope in Jake’s best friend David Campos, an aspiring documentary filmmaker and an out-of-the-box thinker, to lend a hand. David, visiting the Pearsons for the holidays before a crucial meeting in Seattle for his next project, has no experience in party planning but is up for the challenge. As they navigate the whirlwind week of preparations, Mia clings to her tried and tested methods while David, reflecting his adventurous spirit, encourages her to step outside her comfort zone. In the midst of the chaos, an undeniable spark begins to ignite between Mia and David, observed by everyone around them, from Kate to Lori to Jake. As Mia and David gradually acknowledge their growing attraction, Mia finds herself reassessing not just the event, but also what she truly desires in life. Meanwhile, the clock ticks down to the biggest night of the year, a night that might hold more surprises than Mia ever planned for.
