Caught in the mundane rhythm of his ordinary life, Jack Carter, a humble baker and family man, finds himself yearning for a deeper connection with his two children, Kyle and Sienna. As the Carter family embarks on this winter adventure, their dream vacation quickly spirals into a series of comedic mishaps. Their cabin is far from the charming haven they envisioned, their complaints seem never-ending, and to add insult to injury, Jack stumbles upon his successful and competitive old friend, Robert. Robert, the embodiment of Jack's unfulfilled ambitions, flaunts his wealth and success, occupying the resort's most luxurious cabin. As Jack's family becomes increasingly captivated by Robert's lavish lifestyle, Jack's sense of inadequacy intensifies. Determined to outshine Robert, Jack challenges him to the Farthering Pines Winter Olympics, an eccentric series of events concocted by Jack's father during their childhood vacations at the resort. Despite his heartfelt intentions, Jack's plan disastrously backfires, leading him to a bitter defeat. As Jack grapples with his feelings of failure, he humbly admits his shortcomings to his family. However, in an unexpected twist, his family reassures him that his love and dedication make him the best father and husband they could ever wish for.
