Plot

In the heart of Kiev, Ukraine, we find the dejected Anatoli, a once thriving translator, now unemployed and desolate, watching as his wife abandons him. His already crumbling world spirals further into despair when he stumbles upon Dima, an old friend who now has an unsettling proposition. Dima tempts Anatoli with a thousand dollars to commit perjury to aid his boss in securing a divorce. He further entices him to hire Kostia, a hitman, to eliminate his wife's new lover. Lost in a haze of alcohol and desperation, Anatoli agrees. However, when sober shadows of regret descend, he takes a shocking twist, placing the contract on his own life. As fate would have it, he crosses paths with the enchanting Vika, a prostitute known also as Lena. Their unexpected relationship sparks a fervent desire to live, leading Anatoli to hire another assassin, Ivan, to secure his safety. In a deadly dance of hitmen, Ivan eliminates Kostia, revealing a tragic backstory involving a wife, Marina, and their infant son. Overwhelmed with guilt and a newfound sense of humanity, Anatoli seeks out Marina, attempting to reconcile his actions with his conscience. Yet, in the face of such turmoil, he discovers survival often comes at a price. As the plot unfurls, we see Anatoli navigate the labyrinth of his decisions, wrestling with the moral implications and confronting the haunting specter of guilt, giving viewers a dark, captivating journey into the depths of despair and the desperate fight for redemption.
