Plot

Seth Murphy, played by Daniel Lissing, and Layla O'Reilly, portrayed by Jessica Lowndes, share a tangled history. Their lives intersect again at a party when Seth ignites a romantic spark between Layla's cousin and her ex-fiancé, setting the stage for a complicated Christmastime wedding. Amidst the holiday chaos, Seth and Layla reunite, and Seth, with a charming persistence, convinces Layla to accompany him to the wedding. As Layla navigates the emotional minefield of her ex-fiancé's nuptials, Seth adds fuel to the fire by announcing their false engagement during the reception. This wild proclamation forces Layla into a whirlwind pretense, stirring up a cocktail of emotions. Despite the initial shock and anger, Layla finds herself drawn into the charade. As the story unfolds, Seth, aware of Layla's aspirations as an interior designer, hires her to decorate his newly-purchased home for the holiday tour. This unexpected project brings them closer, as they spend time in the heart of a home filled with Christmas cheer. As the tour date approaches, the icy façade of their pretend relationship begins to thaw, and real feelings start to bloom. When their families, utterly convinced by their act, decide to throw an engagement surprise party, Seth and Layla find themselves at a crossroads. Their elaborate ruse has woven a complex web of emotions, leading to a turning point that could change everything for the better. This December tale of love and forgiveness is a heartwarming journey, where old wounds heal, and new love blossoms amidst the magic of the holiday season.
