Broadway veteran Katherine Clark, once celebrated for her self-written musical, has found contentment in her new role as a youth choir director. As she prepares her choir for their pivotal Christmas Eve fundraiser, the event that safeguards their future for another year, she faces unexpected hurdles. Her trusted friend, tasked with penning the fundraiser's title song, has to withdraw due to unforeseen commitments. This leaves Katherine with no choice but to revisit her past and compose the song herself, a challenge she thought she'd left behind on Broadway.
