A Brush with Love (2019)

In the heart of Seattle, Jamie Spellman, a vibrant spirit and passionate artist, runs Canvas Creations, an art school that inspires young minds to project their hearts onto canvas. Born from the ashes of a heart-wrenching breakup, the school was intended merely as a sideline while Jamie pursued her own painting career. However, it has unexpectedly blossomed into her main venture, causing her brushes to gather dust and her heart to remain unexplored romantically. With her retired father, David Spellman, happily preoccupied with the school's expansion and a potential franchise, Jamie finds herself at a crossroads between her entrepreneurial success and her artistic dreams. Each year, she has entered the Cherry Blossom Art Festival, a prestigious competition offering a solo show in Paris as the grand prize. Despite her previous unsuccessful attempts and lack of recent artwork, Jamie's best friend, Ava Hughes, encourages her to create a vision board, hoping to reignite Jamie's dormant passions. Guided by her own advice to her students, Jamie pours her heart onto a canvas through the lens of her vision board, creating a masterpiece that not only rekindles her desire to compete in the Art Festival but also illuminates her longing for romance. As she grapples with impressing the discerning festival organizer, Renee, and managing the growth of Canvas Creations, Jamie finds herself intrigued by the mysterious man she painted from her vision board. Among her students is Michael Herman, a newcomer who seems to fit the description of her enigmatic subject perfectly. However, life throws Jamie a curveball as she finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Max Hughes, Ava's brother. Max, a landscape architect and the new groundskeeper at the local conservatory, has returned to town and is showing an interest in Jamie. Max and Jamie share a history of playful rivalry from their childhood, and his reputation for avoiding commitment adds an element of risk to Jamie's already complicated life. Caught between her artistic ambitions, the demands of her growing business, and a budding love triangle, Jamie must navigate through this intricate maze.
