7th Floor (2013)

In the bustling heart of Buenos Aires, Sebastián, a prominent lawyer, finds himself entwined in a high-stakes case. A divorced man, Sebastián is caught in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Delia, over their two children, Luca and Luna. Delia plans to relocate to Spain with the children, a move Sebastián fiercely resists. On an ordinary day, Sebastián visits Delia's residence on the seventh floor of an aged building to escort Luca and Luna to school. As Delia departs the scene, the siblings whimsically decide to descend the stairs, leaving Sebastián to take the elevator alone. Upon reaching the lobby, Sebastián is confronted with a parent's worst nightmare - his children have mysteriously disappeared. Despite his pressing court appearance, Sebastián, consumed by panic, embarks on a frantic search for his children, aided by the building's janitor and his neighbour Rosales, who happens to be a seasoned police detective. As the clock ticks, Sebastián's desperation escalates, leading him to suspect everyone in the building, and Delia is summoned back to the scene. In an unexpected turn of events, Sebastián receives a chilling phone call. An anonymous voice demands a ransom of one hundred thousand dollars in the next two hours in exchange for his children. As Sebastián grapples with the impossible task of raising the colossal sum in such a limited timeframe, he must also unravel the identity of the kidnapper.
