Plot

In the arid, lawless frontier of the 19th century, the stagecoach-robbing outlaw Ben Wade is captured, his charm failing to save him from the iron grip of justice. The stage line owner, Mr. Butterfield, with his livelihood threatened, offers a generous bounty of $200 to anyone willing to escort the notorious bandit to Contention City, where a 3:10 PM train bound for Yuma awaits to transport Wade to trial. Enter Dan Evans, a down-on-his-luck rancher, grappling with financial hardship and the looming threat of losing his cattle. Tempted by the bounty and the promise of a better future for his family, Evans accepts the perilous assignment. An unforeseen alliance forms between the outlaw and the rancher when Evans saves Wade from a vengeful vigilante's bullet, stirring a complex bond amidst their journey. However, Wade's gang, a ruthless band of outlaws, aren't willing to abandon their leader. They split up, combing the wilderness to locate their captive boss. Meanwhile, Evans and Wade, now holed up in a hotel room in Contention, face a formidable siege as the gang discovers their location. What unfolds is an intense battle of wills, where alliances blur, and the line between hero and villain becomes indistinguishable. As the clock ticks towards 3:10 to Yuma, Evans must muster the courage to face the approaching danger, but not before realizing that he is as much at war with himself as he is with Wade's gang. The drama intensifies with every passing minute, carrying the viewer through a riveting journey of grit, loyalty, and the relentless pursuit of justice.
