E.J. Baxter, a high-powered New York City publicist, seemingly has the world at her feet, boasting an impressive job at Lillah Sherwood’s PR firm, a perfect apartment, and an equally perfect fiancé, Noah, who also happens to be her coworker. However, just before Christmas, E.J.'s picture-perfect life shatters in an avalanche of misfortunes. She is unexpectedly fired, discovers Noah's infidelity, and sees her romantic holiday plans dissolve into thin air. With the New York PR landscape now hostile territory, E.J. reluctantly takes up a job offer from Mayor Bob Baker to promote tourism in the quaint town of Kalispell, Montana. City-slicker E.J. feels like a fish out of water in this friendly small town of 19,000, but slowly warms up to the charming simplicity of the place and its people, particularly the charismatic fly fishing guide, Jason Farrar. However, not all of Kalispell's residents are welcoming. E.J. locks horns with Will Albrecht, the local sporting goods store owner and heartthrob, who she finds irksome and arrogant. When E.J. conceives an audacious plan to organize a beefcake calendar featuring the men of the local Search & Rescue team as a fundraiser, Will becomes her most vocal critic. Despite the hurdles, E.J. is determined to execute her plan, believing that the calendar could not only raise funds for a much-needed helicopter but also work as a tool to attract potential corporate clients and promote herself. She hopes that this will pave her way back to a prestigious job in New York. As E.J. navigates the complexities of her work, her tumultuous relationship with Will, and her own shifting ambitions, she is brought to a crossroads that could redefine her life. Will she find what she truly desires and perhaps, a chance at a Merry Christmas in the end? This is a tale of personal discovery, love, and the spirit of a small town, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Montana wilds.
