Yu Yu Hakusho (1992)

No one who knew Yusuke Urameshi would ever expect him to sacrifice his life for someone else, and so it comes as a surprise when the 14-year old does just that. The spirit world is unprepared, so they give him a second chance at life. But with his new life comes a new set of responsibilities as well. He's assigned to become a "Spirit Detective" investigating supernatural incursions into the world of humanity. Along the way he develops some powerful supernatural abilities of his own, but he more importantly builds a network of friends and family who help him become better.
