Ushio and Tora (1992)

In the heart of an ordinary boy named Ushio, beats the pulse of the extraordinary. In the basement of his ancestral temple, he stumbles upon a magical spear, a relic with hidden powers that have kept a fiery, tiger-like demon named Taro in captivity for centuries. Despite Taro's disgruntled demeanor, Ushio resists the temptation to free him, but destiny has other plans. The presence of the demon awakens a swarm of malevolent supernatural beings that descend upon the temple, forcing Ushio to lift the spear and unleash Taro to face the encroaching danger. Together, they vanquish the immediate threats, but their victory leaves Taro free, and he's hungering for a taste of Ushio. The magic of the spear, however, has a mind of its own. It transforms Ushio into a formidable warrior, powerful enough to keep Taro at bay. But the initial wave of demons was just a precursor to a surge of mystical threats looming over the world. In this tumultuous landscape, Ushio and Taro find themselves as unlikely comrades, defending the innocent and learning to coexist in their peculiar alliance. The boy and the demon, bound by the magic of an ancient spear, become the world's last line of defense against the encroaching darkness.
