Kageyama Shigeo is trying to be an ordinary teenager, but the fact that he possesses powerful psychic abilities makes that difficult. He's now in eighth grade, but he's finding it increasingly difficult to keep things normal as his powers begin to grow stronger. He's trying his best to keep his powers secret while developing a friendship with his crush Tsubomi. Helping Kageyama is a mentor who doesn't actually possess psychic powers of his own, but he's just as likely to make trouble for Kageyama as he is to make the life of the teenager easier. Despite his best efforts, Kageyama keeps finding himself in hot water.
