Within the hallowed halls of Midgar, an all-girl academy, a seismic shift occurs as it welcomes its first and only male student, Yuu Mononobe. However, Midgar is far from an ordinary school - it's a sanctuary for a unique group of girls known as D's, who command the mystifying ability to generate and manipulate dark matter into formidable weaponry. The birth of the D's traces back to twenty-five years ago, coinciding with the emergence of monstrous, cataclysmic creatures named "Dragons" that wreaked havoc before vanishing as abruptly as they appeared. In the aftermath of this chaos, a handful of girls began to manifest symbols on their bodies and demonstrated powers eerily similar to the Dragons. These girls, the D's, now congregate at Midgar, seeking to harness their abilities and prepare for a possible resurgence of the Dragons. The newest addition to their ranks is Yuu, an anomaly in his own right as the only male D known to exist. As he navigates the complex dynamics of his new environment, he finds himself building bonds with his fellow students, including his estranged sister who is also a member of the academy. Together, they must unravel the mystery behind the Dragons' existence and prepare to counter their looming threat. This is a tale of survival, camaraderie, and uncanny powers set against the backdrop of a world under the shadow of enigmatic dragons.
