As the dawn of the 1980s approaches, a shadowy menace from outer space begins to stalk the Earth. Our planet faces imminent peril from a sinister alien race that abducts human beings, exterminating them and harvesting their body parts in a terrifying display of extraterrestrial malevolence. In response to this escalating intergalactic threat, a clandestine military organization springs into action. Known as SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization), they operate in total secrecy, hidden beneath the bustling facade of a film studio. SHADO's reach extends far beyond Earth, boasting a robust fleet of submarines, a lunar base, and an early warning satellite vigilantly scanning the cosmos for incoming UFOs. Unseen and unsung, these heroes of humanity stand ready to safeguard our world. With Interceptors primed for launch from their moonbase, they stand as Earth's first line of defense, obliterating alien spacecraft in the vast void of space. Yet, the invaders are relentless. Any UFO that evades this initial assault is then met by a high-altitude aircraft, launched from the depths of the ocean by one of SHADO's submarines. If an alien craft manages to slip through these defenses and lands on Earth, the battle continues on our home turf. A fleet of Mobiles - heavily armored vehicles - are deployed worldwide, relentlessly tracking and annihilating these landed threats. In UFO (1970), the stakes are high, the danger is real, and the survival of humanity hangs in the balance. Will SHADO succeed in their mission, or will the alien invaders prove too powerful to overcome?
