Torre de Babel (1998)

In the shadows of an ordinary life, Clementino, a hapless mason finds his world shattered by betrayal. Once a tranquil laborer, he is driven by fury and heartbreak when he discovers his bewitching wife, a vision of allure and desire, in the arms of another. In a blind, passionate rage, he kills her. Instead of the absolution he might have found in court, his cunning employer Cesar Toledo deliberately betrays him, leading to a chilling sentence of two decades in prison. Upon his release, the fires of vengeance ignite within Clementino. He meticulously plots to destroy Toledo's grand achievement, a newly inaugurated mall, a symbol of the life he lost. But the cruel hand of fate intervenes when a shadowy figure steals his careful blueprint and executes the plan prematurely. Now, Clementino finds himself pushed into a tense alliance with his arch-enemy Toledo. Together, they must unravel the mystery of the true saboteur's identity and motives, as Clementino fights to prove his innocence in a world eager to brand him guilty.
