The Terror (2018)

This horror anthology tells a different story with each season, but every season is unified by the fact that the story is rooted in a real life history that's rooted in a sense of mystery or uncertainty. The first season tracks the Royal Navy's attempts to discover the Northwest Passage and their reckoning with forces both natural and supernatural when they find themselves stranded in the cold. Season two roots a supernatural horror in a natural one by focusing on a World War II internment camp for Japanese-Americans and the creature that uses the camp as its personal feeding grounds.
